“SPIKE” WOULD MAKE A VERY SPECIAL PAL!

Poor little  “Spike” has been in residence since the middle of October and hasn’t had any interest shown in him at all.   This is most unusual as small canines are adopted very quickly and Spike weighs in at 15 lb and is a Chihuahua/Pug cross, 2-3 years old and living life as a blonde!  Cute as a button you cannot help but smile when you are with Spike.

Found wandering on a highway, he was rescued by another Shelter and then came under our care.   Spike is “Mr Personality”, an energetic bundle of joy who greets life with enthusiasm and would make a great canine friend and playmate for children over 6 years old.   Spike would play all day and then be very content curling up on a lap to watch TV when the family relaxes in the evening.   Spike loves any attention he is given, but the joy of his life is, without doubt, his toys. When he is let out of his kennel for play, this intelligent little guy jumps into the box of toys and digs around until he finds just the right one to take outside.  This enchanting little bundle will even raid the other dogs’ kennels when they are out and steal their toys with that joyous expression….”got it”!.

“Spike” is perfecting his leash walking, is housebroken, crate trained and knows most of his basic commands and presents as a real character, a fun dog, sometimes he even believes he is a cat and will curl around your neck and rub his face on yours.

We feel that “Spike” has shown fortitude and patience and deserves to find his own special family, where he would be welcomed, enjoyed and loved and be home at last!   Call Spike at 519-833-2287 or e.mail adoptions@uppercredit.com to meet him.
