Thank you for choosing the Upper Credit Humane Society to look for your new addition. In doing so you are providing an animal with a second chance for a happy home. Our Animal Care Coordinators and Staff are there to protect the best interests of the animals in our care and their main goal is to find the best home possible for each and every animal.

Have a look at our website, give us a call or feel free to stop by our shelter to enquire about the animals we currently have available. Our staff and volunteers spend a lot of time with our animals and are there to answer any questions you may have about a particular animal. Once a certain animal is chosen, all family members must come to meet the animal.

For Dogs Only - Once you have decided on a particular dog to join your family, it is important to bring any of your current dog(s), to ensure compatibility.

Once you have chosen the animal you would like to adopt, you will then fill out an application form. Once completed, an animal care coordinator or staff member will review the application and complete an interview. After the interview, if required, a home visit will also be done.

If approved, the adoption process will be completed once payment and adoption paperwork is formalized. You will be sent home with an adoption kit, food and the medical records of your animal.

Adoption Fees:

Dogs - $320.00 (includes HST)

Cats and Kittens - $160.00 (includes HST)

Small Animals - $40.00 (includes HST)

Also included in these fees are all vaccinations (including a 3-year Rabies) and spay or neuter.The pet will also be microchipped. Payment can be made by cash, debit card or Visa.
