Welcome to the Volunteer page of the Upper Credit Humane Society. The Society could not run without its volunteers and we are always looking for help! Whether you enjoy working with the animals, in our thrift shop or on a events team, we have something for everyone.
Our organization takes pride in our volunteers as they play a vital role in the lives of the animals that pass through our shelter. Volunteers can help an animal adjust to shelter life or prepare for life in a new home by simply dedicating their time. We rely on volunteers to provide our animals with patience, compassion and love. All volunteers will be expected to have a valid police check, completed within the past three years.

Events Volunteers
Individuals interested in helping with fundraising events are needed to join our Events Team! U.C.H.S. fundraising projects include our Motorcyle Run, Walk-A-Thon, Rabies Clinics, Golf Tournament and much more! Volunteers of all ages can get involved in some aspect of the events. All money raised from fundraising events go directly to help the animals in our shelter and in our community.
Foster Parents
Occasionally at the shelter we have an adult dog or cat that could benefit from some extra TLC before they are adopted into their forever homes. If you think you have the time and love to give for an animal in need, please contact the shelter.
Animal Adoption/Office Assistant
Working alongside our Animal Care Supervisor, the Volunteer will assist in all required office duties including data entry of incoming animals, assisting with the public and general office duties. Must be computer literate and love animals. This position requires a minimum commitment of one shift per week, during regular business hours (approximately 4 hours per week).
Cleaning Kennels/Dog Walking
We are always looking for volunteers to help clean the dog and cat living areas and to help walk the dogs. Kennels are done seven-days-a-week, morning and evenings and so there are a variety of opportunities open to volunteers during the week.
